Title: Senior UI/Web Developer.

Position Summary:
You will be part of a small team of talented engineers. Here, you'll apply all of your
5+ years of experience building core functionality for database-driven applications. You will be helping to build and advance our next-generation magazine reader on the web and mobile platforms. You must be comfortable building web-based front ends from the ground up using HTML/CSS/Javascript/Jquery and other web design tools. You will be able to implement existing designs as well as add your own creativity and drive design choices that will create our next generation of cutting-edge products.

Requirements:
•Expert proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
•Extensive experience with Jquery.
•Extensive experience in cross-browser development techniques, strategies and debugging.
•Solid foundation in user interface design and interaction.
•Familiarity with templating languages such as Freemarker and Template Toolkit.
•Experience working with: Unix/Linux, Source Control tools, MVC Frameworks & bug tracking tools.
•5 years relevant development experience.
•B.S/B.A. in related field.

Desired Qualifications (in order of importance):
•Proficiency using Photoshop/Illustrator.
•Experience creating and presenting mockups.
•Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

The client is looking to review resumes immediately for a UI/ Web Developer role. The position will entail about 85%-95% front end development and about 5% back end (having knowledge in back end is helpful).

They are not looking for a designer or a backend person- they are looking for a front end developer who is able to work on multiple projects in a team environment. They do use SQL for the back end, so if someone has knowledge of this it is very helpful.

Must have skills: CSS, JavaScript, HTML, solid design abilities, template abilities. Also this is a strictly UNIX/Linux environment- No Microsoft. Looking for people with UNIX/Linux.
